Cactus Wreath Quilt designs

A customer asked me to create some designs for Cactus Wreath, a quilt I designed in 2006. I was delighted. It would be fun to come up with some patterns for one of my own quilt creations and I was happy to find out that it was still selling after all these years. Before I go on, I have to explain that, from time to time, I design quilts, but I don’t sell the patterns. I pass them onto my daughter, Daniela Stout who owns Cozy Quilt Shop and Cozy Quilt Designs. Daniela writes the instructions, takes care of the printing and the distribution of the patterns. In other words, I have the fun job and Daniela does all the hard work. A lot of people have made the pattern in Christmas colors as shown on the cover of the pattern (see below), but any color combinations will work. The pattern includes instructions for 3 sizes, wall, throw, and queen and use, what else, 2 1/2” strips, plus background fabric. The lady who requested the quilting designs opted to add an additional border to make it even bigger. I therefore based my quilting designs on her request. However, the designs are very adaptable, resizable and can be used on many different quilts.
