Playing with triangles

There is hardly a quilt pattern without some triangles. So, it is good to have some quilting designs on hand, but there is so much more you can do with triangles, especially point2point triangles. Point2Point designs have start and end points that are on the same horizonal line and that are a bit outside the design so that the triangles can be strung together in a row, frame, or block without nesting or overlapping. To show you what can be achieved I’ll use SCF-190 Simple Triangle as an example. This design could hardly be simpler, but by combining several identical designs together, you can get some amazing results.

With one small design and a little bit of effort you can expand your design inventory. If you don’t know how to do this, or can’t be bothered, you can buy the 7 blocks for $25.00. Look for SCF-190a-f on the Combo Page. Included are: The Simple Triangle and the other 6 blocks listed above. The rows are not included as you can treat those as regular repeats.
